for our next production!
What is it, you ask? Well… it doesn’t exist yet.
‘Cause we’re gonna make it together.
Devising can look like many things — most simply put, it is a process of collaboration among a group of artists to develop a work. Our goal in devising this play is to take a base idea or premise (a group of students working on a thesis play) and through the rehearsal process, produce a full production. Therefore, we are not just seeking actors for our play, but creatives who are excited about this opportunity to collaborate, improv, write, and experiment. There’s no need for traditional theater training to audition. We are looking for people who are willing to play around with us and bring their own unique visions and ideas to the table.
What do I submit??!
For this first round of auditions, we’re asking you to put together a short tape, 1 to 2 minutes, of you doing anything. That’s right, anything. It could be a monologue or a scene. Or, it can be a little less conventional, like a song, a dance, a standup routine, telling a story, reading the Miranda rights, a vlog, a video of you after you got your wisdom teeth out, we don’t care! Just show us your creativity, your uniqueness, etc. Nothing is off the table.

Callbacks will be held in person on July 26, 27, and 28.
Rehearsals will run through August and September,
with performances to begin and end in October.
